Hello all. This month has been crazy for me personally and professionally. I am truly sorry for not getting this out there sooner for you all. My father had sepsis and stenosis of the spine so my focus was not here. Good news, he is out of rehab to get strength and stability back in his legs, and at home. Now the hard part for him, keep a routine and keep mobile, keep active. I cannot stress this enough for all of us, make time for yourself, it is important not just physically but mentally as well.

So, a lot of information has come out about the future of Dungeons and Dragons, namely the release dates for the new books:

  • Vecna: Eve of Ruin – May 21, 2024
  • The Making of Original Dungeons and Dragons: 1970-1976 – June 18, 2024
  • Quests from the Infinite Staircase – July 16, 2024
  • 2024 Player’s Handbook – September 17, 2024
  • 2024 Dungeon Master’s Guide – November 12, 2024
  • 2024 Monster Manual – February 18, 2025

These are important dates for all of us, especially third party / independent creators. Use these dates at goals if you are creating something similar or adjacent to, to get free signal boost for your product. Work smarter, not harder.

Changes: “No plan survives contact with the enemy.” Well, not necessarily the enemy, but things change, as a creator you need to be able to adapt to what is going on in the community, realize what is wanted by the community, listen to feedback from them. I really try to pay attention to what is going on in the RPG community and assess whether I am capable of producing something that is wanted or needed by you all. Sometimes things just don’t work out, or a project withers on the vine because it was idle for too long. This happens more than you think. I will be shifting up my planned release schedule to work on a very important project that just formed, more on that in the coming months. I am back to work on the revision of Ocean’s Bounty to get that done and back in the download availability. Also, we got a correction made to LA 3 A Minor Threat, and it is back up for download again.

I will be adding more pages to the website next month so stay tuned for that announcement. Hope you all are doing well, now get started creating, running a game and having fun.

Troy “Cannibaal” Alleman
